Nate Berkus is famed for designing beautifully chic spaces – not least his New York home – but behind every aesthetic home is a practical storage system. So which one does he use?

'The Nate Home Two Tier Sliding Pull Out Drawers are literally all over my house (think laundry, fridge, and bathroom),' Nate says. The product comes from his latest venture with mDesign – a collaboration that comprises some of the best home organization products on the market – but we'd say the Two Tier Sliding Pull Out Drawers come out on top. And it would seem that the designer agrees.

'The two-tiered sliding drawer organizer is one of my all-time favorite Nate Home products for the following reasons. Everyone uses this underneath the sink with their laundry pods or dishwasher pods and sponges [that are] perfectly organized, but I use it everywhere in the house,' he comments in the Instagram footage below.

Since Nate’s first appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2002, he has become one of the world’s most recognizable interior designers. He has authored two New York Times bestselling books and stars alongside his husband, Jeremiah Brent, in HGTV's Nate & Jeremiah Home Project.

As Nate explains, he uses this product in his kitchen, bathroom, and, famously, as a seamless fridge storage solution – but in this clip, he demonstrates its usage in his coffee corner.

'Where I really love using [the drawers] is in my coffee corner,' he says. 'It’s the perfect height and helps eliminate all extra clutter on the countertop; plus, I love the transparent design that always keeps the contents visible and easy to find.'

Nate's transparent organizer comes with a handy slide-out functionality that offers instant accessibility. Its built-in handles also allow you to grab any products with ease.

The space offers exactly what you might expect from a 'coffee corner' – boasting beans and sugar that are neatly stored in transparent drawers. 'Now I’ve maximized where I can keep my coffee beans and sugar (which I don’t use in my coffee but it looks great). I think this is an awesome use for the organizer.'

Even if we lack a coffee corner of our own, this storage solution has multiple other uses around the home. This product is great when organizing a pantry – as its transparentness makes it easy to see when we need to stock up on essentials – or (as Nate suggests), it's equally useful in keeping toiletries tidy in the bathroom.

Unsurprisingly, it's worth noting that this sliding drawer has a habit of selling out, so it's worth picking up while in stock. Often, this product sells out across all retailers – Amazon, Target, Walmart, and mDesign. However, if you've missed the trick, we've listed some similar two-tiered pieces below.

In the case that Nate's organizer is out of stock, we're turning to this similar alternative courtesy of DOMNIU. We love the transparent drawers that help us keep track of exactly what is in our pantry, kitchen, or coffee corner.

These high-quality shelves are perfect for maximizing space on shelves, under the sink, or on our bathroom counters. Their stackable design is particularly great for sorting makeup brushes, eyeshadow palettes, skincare bottles, and compacts.

This pull-out cabinet organizer is made of durable high-hardness plastic and securely linked by four thickened stainless steel support tubes that ensure the structure is both water-proof and rust-proof, as well as incredibly versatile.
